I guess that the inevitable happened this weekend…the majority of football matches falling foul to the inclement British weather. I shouldn’t be too surprised as it happens every year, but what never fails to disappoint me is the fact that the country seems to come to a grinding halt at the first sign of a snow flake!

I am in no doubt that pretty soon there will be announcements from the Royal Mail and other couriers that they are becoming backlogged with parcels, and the delivery schedule will suffer. All I can promise my customers is that every order placed before 1400 hours GMT shall be despatched that day – even if it means that we have to drive the parcels to the sorting office ourselves, walk them there or maybe even use a team of Husky Dogs, as far as I’m concerned then life goes on and we will do everything in our powers to ensure that all orders run as smoothly as you have come to expect.

I have to admit to a tiny little piece of regret at not being out on the training pitch in this weather though. I love everything about the snow, from the challenge of driving in it (though it’s the other road users that inflame this challenge) to how pretty it makes even the roughest place look. The worst part of training in the snow was not the diving, nor was it the snow that ploughed its way down your neck when you were working on One on Ones – the hardest part was in fact kicking a snow covered football and not breaking your foot!

Catching a frozen football was akin to working with a medicine ball, but striking one was guaranteed to make you wince!

As I sit in my lovely warm office, gazing out the window at my snow covered surroundings I can’t help but feel the itch of wanting to get my shorts on and go out for a kick about….and then my knee will start to ache, so I move closer to the radiator and realise that maybe I’m not missing out after all!!

As the weather has finally taken a turn to the winter, then don’t forget that you can now also buy WarbyGK beanie hats – the ideal accompany to those cold training sessions, designed for both style and purpose our Beanie is fast becoming a must have in your kit bag!
