Fingers crossed for some weekend footy!
Well, that’s it – if you missed reading last Thursdays Blog in time then you have also just missed out on your cheeky little discount code to celebrate the launch of our clothing range. See, it’s true that the early bird catches the worm………….even if the late birds nip down to Maccy D’s when they wake up and get a Happy Meal in today’s culture!
There hasn’t been much football going on recently, though it is looking very hopeful for this weekend’s fixture list. Let’s hope that I haven’t spoken too soon and cursed the weather now as Saturdays without football are arguably worse than Chinese Water Torture!
I hope that if your game has been called off then you have been called in to training instead? It’s surprising how much you can achieve in a well planned snow bound training session, and equally surprising at how positive everyone is when training in the Snow. It’s a real team bonding exercise, especially when the inevitable snowball fights break out – and if they don’t break out then hang your head in shame….there’s an unwritten rule in football that snow=banter!
Staying with the football theme (for a change I hear you say!), I think that it is fair to say that the sacking of Lee Clark from the Huddersfield Town dugout came as a real surprise to the majority of football fans. I’m sure that there are many managers whom would be proud of a record like his, however the powers that be must have their reasons and I would be confident in suggesting that Mr Clark will not be out of football for too long! Leeds anyone?
Further speaking of football, Warby endorsee Danny Naisbitt is travelling to Lincoln on Tuesday evening as his Cambridge United side look to take three points from Lincoln City. I haven’t spoken to Nezzy yet but I’m aiming to blag a couple of tickets out of him – I’d begrudge giving Lincoln any money…long story but similar to my history with another Lincolnshire based Football Club.
